Operations: Automatic Cord Rewind 1 2 Gently pull out power cord and stop when yellow band is visible on the cord. Do not pull power cord beyond the red line. Plug cord into electrical outlet. To return cord, turn vacuum power switch off and remove plug from outlet. Hold plug and press automatic cord rewind button located on the lower side of the unit to wind cord into reel. Do not allow plug to whip when rewinding. Maintenance: Empty Dirt Tank 1 2 Remove tank by pressing the release button on the tank handle. 3 4 Empty contents of dirt tank into trash container, and gently shake the top handle to remove build up. Grasp handle on back of tank with one hand and the top handle with the other. Twist the top handle counterclockwise until latches release. Pull the top handle straight up from the dirt tank. Place the top handle straight down into the dirt tank. Align the latch arrows and gently twist clockwise. When fully assembled, the tank will click into place. Replace the tank back onto the vacuum - it will click when fully installed. NOTE: If you notice excess build up around the top of the tank, before removing top piece, gently tap the tank to allow contents to settle. www.BISSELL.com 7
