Maintenance: Floor Brush Roll 1 2 3 Ensure vacuum is unplugged. Place handle in low position, remove hose from foot and turn vacuum over bottom side up. Remove 6 screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Lift brush cover off of the vacuum. Grasp rotating floor brush at both ends and lift straight out of the vacuum foot. Slip off the belt. Clean debris from rotating floor brush, motor pulley, drive belt and air passageway areas. Maintenance: Drive Belt 1 2 3 With rotating brush removed (steps 1-3 maintenance floor brush roll), grasp old drive belt and remove from motor pulley. Place new belt over motor pulley and stretch other end over the floor brush. Place ends of rotating floor brush down into slots. Reposition bottom cover and replace all 6 screws. Maintenance: Cleaning the Dirt Tank 1 2 3 With the top handle removed, wash the dirt tank in warm water with mild detergent. Allow tank to air dry. Twist top handle from the round separator counterclockwise to release. Wash in warm water with mild detergent. Dry completely before reassembling. Align tabs to return separator to top handle. Align latch arrows and twist tank clockwise until "clicks" into place. www.BISSELL.com 9

With rotating brush removed
(steps 1-3 maintenance floor
brush roll), grasp old drive belt
and remove from motor pulley.
Place new belt over
motor pulley and
stretch other end
over the floor brush.
Place ends of rotating floor
brush down into slots.
Reposition bottom cover and
replace all 6 screws.
Twist top handle from the round
separator counterclockwise to
release. Wash in warm water with
mild detergent. Dry completely
before reassembling.
With the top handle
removed, wash the dirt
tank in warm water
with mild detergent.
Allow tank to air dry.
Align tabs to return
separator to top handle.
Align latch arrows and
twist tank clockwise
until “clicks” into place.
