Maintenance: Machine Care A few simple steps can assure your machine is well maintained after your cleaning is complete. 1 2 LINT SCREEN 3 Turn power OFF and unplug the machine. Always wrap the power cord and make sure the hose is securely wrapped. The final empty of the 2-in-1 tank should always get an extra rinse-out. Rinse under and around the bladder as well as the lint screen. Using the Nozzle Clean Out Tool, any excess debris or pet hair can be removed from the nozzle and brushed out of the brush rolls. Maintenance: Belt Replacement 1 Brush Belt 2 Insert a Flat Head Screwdriver to remove the belt access door. (There is a slot at the end of the door.) Pull the Belt Access Door up and out. Turn the machine to lay on its side so the belt access area is facing upward. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws on the arms that hold the brush in place. If the Brush Belt is broken, gently remove the belt. To re-install a new belt, first place the belt around the pulley and then stretch it to wrap around the brush gear. 3 Pump Belt 4 To return the Belt Access Door, line it up with the slots in the machine. Pictured here is the Pump Belt. If broken, The door will slide into place and snap shut. gently remove the belt. To re-install a new Pump Belt, loop one end of the new belt around the red pump pulley and then stretch it to the silver motor shaft. www.BISSELL.com 13

Using the Nozzle Clean
Out Tool, any excess

The door will slide into place and
snap shut.

Pump Belt. If broken,
gently remove the belt.
To re-install a new Pump
Belt, loop one end of the
new belt around the red
pump pulley and then
stretch it to the silver
