When working, never hold tool with your hand or fingers in area of the saw blade. The fingers of the guiding hand must always be kept behind the limiting ridge (Fig. 14). POSITIONING THE BLADE AGAINST THE WORK ! WARNING Never saw with the blade facing upward or in the direction of the body (Fig. 15). FIG. 15 FIG. 14 LIMITING RIDGE 16P4r0oVfSessional The cutting action of this saw is similar to a handsaw. Place the blade on the edge of the workpiece. The blade should be held at a steep angle to the workpiece approx. 60° (Fig. 16A.) It is difficult to begin cutting on the flat of a workpiece (Fig.16B). FIG. 16 SLIDE "ON/OFF" SWITCH The tool is switched "ON" by the slide switch located on the topside of the motor housing. TO TURN THE TOOL "ON", slide the switch button forward. TO TURN THE TOOL "OFF", slide the switch button backward. VARIABLE SPEED DIAL Your tool is equipped with a variable speed dial. The blade stroke rate may be adjusted during cutting operation by setting the dial on or between any one of the six numbers. The optimum stroke rate depends on the material and must be determined by testing on similar materials in each application. 60° A B Pull blade thru the workpiece maintaining a steep angle when cutting (Fig. 17A). SLIDE "ON/OFF" SWITCH
The tool is switched "ON" by the slide switch
located on the topside of the motor housing.
TO TURN THE TOOL "ON", slide the switch
button forward.
TO TURN THE TOOL "OFF", slide the switch
button backward.
VARIABLE SPEED DIAL
Your tool is equipped with a variable speed

steep angle when cutting (Fig. 17A).
