5. Calibration - The tool can be put into calibration mode using the remote control by pressing the Axis I and Axis II buttons on the remote controller's keypad simultaneously for 5 seconds. The tool will beep three times to indicate the unit is entered calibration mode. (See Calibration section for detailed procedure.) To exit the calibration mode, press the keypad calibration axis I and II buttons simultaneously for three to five seconds, then release when you hear two beeps, signaling the exit of calibration mode. Turn off the tool, and then turn it back on again to resume normal operation. 6. Laser Detection To turn on the RCR2's laser receiver-detector function, press the coarse/fine select button. On startup, the detection resolution is coarse, with the beeper on indicated by the icons on LCD display. Continue pressing the coarse/fine select button to cycle through the following options: Beeper on, Laser detector on, coarse resolution, laser in rotation Beeper off, Laser detector on, coarse resolution, laser in rotation Beeper on, Laser detector on, fine resolution, laser in rotation mode Beeper off, Laser detector on, fine resolution, laser in rotation mode Laser detector power off, Laser in spin mode Locate the laser beam, using the red sensor panel on the RCR2. As the laser beam is approached, a single arrow points in the direction of the beam. The base unit emits sounds to aid in locating the laser beam: • Beep Sound - Indicates that the laser receiver-detector is pointed overly high/low or far to the left/right. • Continuous Tone - Indicates that the laser receiver-detector is pointed directly toward the laser beam. Center the beam by moving the laser receiver-detector in the direction of the arrow. When the beam is aligned with the center of the detector panel, both arrows on the LCD display are lit and the beep is continuous, indicating that it is properly center. 7. To turn off the RCR2, press its power on/off button. There is a double beep for confirmation, the LCD display becomes blank, and the lasers shut off. -12-

laser receiver-detector function, press the
coarse/fine select button. On startup, the
detection resolution is coarse, with the
beeper on indicated by the icons on LCD
display. Continue pressing the coarse/fine
select button to cycle through the
following options:

Beeper on, Laser detector on, fine resolution,
laser in rotation mode
Beeper off, Laser detector on, fine resolution,
laser in rotation mode
Laser detector power off, Laser in spin mode
Locate the laser beam, using the red sensor
panel on the RCR2. As the laser beam is
approached, a single arrow points in the
direction of the beam. The base unit emits
sounds to aid in locating the laser beam:
