IMPORTANT Always remove the ilter cartridge holder (5c) with the ilter cartridge (5d) before running the descaling program. i Note: It's a good idea to purchase a new ilter cartridge (5d) when the replacement indicator shows only one bar. Bosch Home Appliances Activating the MAVEA ilter cartridge replacement indicator For maximum ilter performance and antiscale protection, the MAVEA MAXTRA ilter cartridge (5d) should be replaced every eight weeks. The MAVEA cartridge replacement indicator (3f) on the top of the machine uses bars to indicate when the ilter cartridge (5d) should be replaced with a new one. To activate the MAVEA ilter cartridge replacement indicator (3f), press and hold the Start button until all four bars appear on the display and blink twice. The blinking dot in the lower right corner indicates that the ilter cartridge replacement indicator (3f) is activated. All four bars should be visible. From this moment on, one bar disappears every two weeks. When no bars are visible after eight weeks and the arrow is blinking, replace the ilter cartridge (5d). To remove the ilter cartridge (5d), simply pull it out by its tab. To prepare a new ilter cartridge (5d), follow the instructions in the section titled "Preparing and inserting the MAVEA MAXTRA ilter cartridge" and reset the MAVEA ilter cartridge replacement indicator (3f) by pressing and holding the Start button. i Note: Your TASSIMO machine is now ready for use. To activate the MAVEA ±lter cartridge
replacement indicator (3f), press and hold
the Start button until all four bars appear on
the display and blink twice.
The blinking dot in the lower right corner
indicates that the ±lter cartridge replace-
ment indicator (3f) is activated. All four bars
should be visible.
From this moment on, one bar disappears
every two weeks. When no bars are visible
after eight weeks and the arrow is blinking,
replace the ±lter cartridge (5d).
