USTATUS Command Sending the USTATUS command makes unsolicited printer status (sending the printer status information to the host computer automatically without being requested for it) valid or invalid. If the unsolicited status is set to ON with the USTATUS command, the printer sends unsolicited status information to the host computer at the time interval set by USTATUS TIMED command from when the status changes. On the other hand, the DINQUIRE, INQUIRE and INFO commands make the printer send a response only once, just after they are received. CHAPTER 5 PJL - 73
