Error Message Cause Remedy NO FILES! This message appears if you try to recall or delete a text file from the memory when none are stored. Store a text file first. NO TAPE! This message appears if you try to print a label or feed the tape when no tape cassette is installed. Install a tape cassette and try again. REPLACE BATTERIES! This message appears if the installed alkaline batteries are about to run out. Replace the batteries or use the AC adapter. ROM PROBLEM! This message appears if there is a problem with the machine's read only memory. Turn off the machine, and then while holding down c and R, turn the machine back on. Contact your service representative. SET 1" TAPE! SET 24mm TAPE! This message appears if a 1" (24-mm) wide tape cassette is not installed when an auto format layout for a 1" (24-mm) wide tape is selected. Install a 1" (24-mm) wide tape cassette. SET 3/4" TAPE! SET 18mm TAPE! This message appears if an 3/4" (18mm) wide tape cassette is not installed when an auto format layout for an 3/4" (18-mm) wide tape is selected. Install an 3/4" (18-mm) wide tape cassette. SET 1/2" TAPE! SET 12mm TAPE! This message appears if a 1/2" (12-mm) wide tape cassette is not installed when an auto format layout for a 1/2" (12mm) wide tape is selected. Install a 1/2" (12-mm) wide tape cassette. SET 3/8" TAPE! SET 9mm TAPE! This message appears if a 3/8" (9-mm) wide tape cassette is not installed when an auto format layout for a 3/8" (9mm) wide tape is selected.
