INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE Note : • Do not connect the USB cable to your personal computer before installing the software. • For PT-2710 user (USA), please follow the same procedure as PT-2700. 1. Start your personal computer. (If running Windows® 2000 Pro, XP Pro or XP Home, make sure you are logged on as a user with administrator rights.) 2. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The P-touch Setup Screen will appear. Note : If the P-touch Setup Screen does not appear, from Windows Explorer double-click the My Computer icon, and then double-click the PT-2700 icon. If you wish to cancel installation in the middle of the process, click [Exit]. 3. Select the desired language and the type of setup you prefer. Standard: All features will be installed (default). Custom: You can specify which features to install. Recommended for advanced users. 4. Read the license agreement carefully. If you agree with the terms and conditions of the license agreement, click [Yes] to continue the installation. 5. Type in the User Name and Company Name, and then click [Next]. (Select whether you wish to limit the software use to all users (default) or to the currently logged on user.) 6. Confirm the destination to install the software, and then click [Next]. 2

INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
1.
Start your personal computer. (If running Windows
®
2000 Pro, XP Pro or XP Home,
make sure you are logged on as a user with administrator rights.)
2.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The P-touch Setup Screen will appear.
3.
Select the desired language and the type of setup
you prefer.
Standard:
All features will be installed (default).
Custom:
You can specify which features to install.
Recommended for advanced users.

Read the license agreement carefully. If you agree with the terms and conditions of the
license agreement, click
[Yes]
to continue the installation.

Type in the User Name and Company Name,
and then click
[Next]

Confirm the destination to install the software,

Note :
•
Do not connect the USB cable to your personal computer before installing the software.
•
For PT-2710 user (USA), please follow the same procedure as PT-2700.
Note :
If the P-touch Setup Screen does not appear, from Windows Explorer double-click
the My Computer icon, and then double-click the PT-2700 icon. If you wish to
cancel installation in the middle of the process, click
[Exit]
.
