Skin smoothing is optimized for the main subject's face. Shooting Images with the Background Blurred to Convey a Sense of Speed (Panning) Still Images Movies By panning, you can shoot blurred backgrounds that convey a sense of speed. The camera will detect blurring of the subject and correct it, so you can reduce blurring of the subject. 1 Choose [ ]. zzFollow steps 1 - 2 in "Specific Scenes" (=55) and choose [ ]. 2 Shoot. zzBefore shooting, with the shutter button pressed halfway, move the camera so that it follows the subject. zzWith the moving subject in the center of the screen, press the shutter button all the way down. zzMove the camera so that it continues to follow the subject even after you have pressed the shutter button all the way down. ●● Try taking some test shots first, to make sure you obtain the desired results. ●● To adjust the effect level, turn the [ ] ring. ●● When shooting, keep your arms close to your body and hold the camera with both hands steadily, and turn your whole body to follow subjects. ●● The effect is more apparent when you follow subjects moving horizontally such as trains or cars.
