2 While lowering the down the OPEN lever, open the reading unit. If the paper is jammed at any other area: Pull the paper forward and clear the jam from the nearest opening. 3 Remove the paper that has jammed. If the paper is jammed at the pickup area: Pull the paper forward and clear the jam from the Maintenance Cover. 4 Gently close the reading unit until it clicks into place. 5 Gently close the Maintenance Cover until it clicks into place. 10
