. Precautions when Using the AC Adaptor • Connecting the AC adaptor to the camera does not charge the batteries. • Make sure that the camera is turned off before connecting or disconnecting the AC adaptor. • If you are connecting the AC adaptor to the camera while it has batteries loaded, never connect or disconnect the AC adaptor while the camera is turned on. • The AC adaptor will become warm after long use. This is normal and does not indicate malfunction. • Unplug the AC adaptor from the power outlet whenever you are not using it. • When the AC adaptor is connected to the camera while the batteries are loaded, the AC adaptor power is given priority. • Use of the AC adaptor to power the camera is recommended when connected to a computer. • Never cover the AC adaptor with a blanket, etc. Doing so creates the risk of fire. Using a Memory Card See page 17 for information about supported memory cards and how to load a memory card. To replace the memory card Press the memory card and then release it. This will cause it to pop out of the memory card slot slightly. Pull the card out the rest of the way and then insert another one. • Never remove a card from the camera while the back lamp is flashing green. Doing so can cause the image save operation to fail and even damage the memory card. 151 Appendix
