Chapter 6 Logical Object Dialog Boxes C6576M Software Dialog Box Tip The configuration Backup/Restore actions are used to upload the switch or router startup configuration to a server. The configuration can then be edited on the server and downloaded back to the switch or router. • Restore Status-Status of the last restore action. This attribute (read-only) has the following values: - Ok-The restore operation completed successfully. - Failed-The restore operation failed. - Not executed-The restore operation was not executed. • Restore File-The name of the configuration file that will be restored. • Restore button-Restores the file specified in the Restore File attribute from the TFTP Host to the startup configuration. • Scheduled Restore-Schedules the restore operation. It will launch the dialog box shown in Figure 6-22. Note The switch or router needs to be reset for the new configuration to take effect. Figure 6-22 Scheduled Restore Configuration Dialog Box The Scheduled Restore Configuration dialog box provides the following information: • Date-The date when the restore will start. The format is MM/DD/YYYY. • Hour-The hour when the restore will start. It is a 24-hour clock. • Minute-The minute when the restore will start.
