5.5 Preparing the Computer for Disassembly 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect the AC Adapter and all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Remove the battery pack from the battery bay (Section 5.6). CAUTION: Failure to disconnect the AC Adapter from the computer and remove the battery pack before removing and installing internal components can damage the equipment. 4. Remove the hard drive (Section 5.7). 5. Remove MultiBay devices (Section 5.8). NOTE: MultiBay devices other than MultiBay battery packs may be left inside the MultiBay to provide balance when the computer is open. If installed, remove the MultiBay battery pack. 6. Preparing the Computer for Disassembly
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect the AC Adapter and all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Remove the battery pack from the battery bay (Section 5.6).
