Deploying Compaq ProLiant DL320 and DL360 Servers into Third-Party Racks 11 1 2 Figure 6: Intake 1 and Exhaust 2 vents for the ProLiant DL320 server 1 2 Figure 7: Intake 1 and Exhaust 2 vents for the ProLiant DL360 server When installed in a 1U ultra-dense server deployment, airflow is sufficient to cool ProLiant DL320 and ProLiant DL360 servers if the following criteria are met: • Ambient air temperature at the front of the unit does not exceed 35°C (95°F). • Relative humidity does not exceed 90 percent while operating. • Unrestricted airspace of at least three inches exists in front of the server. • Unrestricted airspace of at least three inches exists at the rear of the server. Note: Cabling must not restrict airflow. The Compaq Third-Party Rack Option Kit includes a cable management tray to provide appropriate clearance for airflow. Ensure airflow exiting the server's exhaust vents is unrestricted if not using the cable management tray. 13NT-1000A-WWEN
