NOTE:Referencesto rightor left sideof the snowthrowerare determinedfrom behindthe unit in the operatingposition(standing directlybehindthe snow thrower,facingthe handlepanel). REMOVING FROM CARTON 1. Cut the cornersof thecarton and lay the sidesflat on the ground. Removeand discard all packinginserts. 2. Movethe snowthrowerout of thecarton. 3. Makecertainthe carton has beencompletelyemptiedbefore discardingit. ASSEMBLY 1. Observethe lowerreararea of the snowthrowerto be sure both cablesare alignedwith rollerguidesbeforepivotingthe handle upward. a. Placethe shiftleverin the F6position. b. Pull up and back on upperhandleas shownin Figure1.As youare raisingthe handleupward,make surethat bothends of the centercableare positionedproperlyin the brackets. Align upperhandlewith the lowerhandle. c. Tightenhandknobs securingupper handleto lowerhandle. Removeand discard any rubberbands,if present.Theyare for packagingpurposesonly. f 2. Removecotterpin,wing nut, and hexscrewfrom chutecontrol head and clevispin and bow-tiecotterpin from chute support bracket.See Figure2. 3. Insertroundend of chute rod into inputof chute controlhead. REMOVING
FROM
CARTON
1.
Cut the cornersof thecarton and lay the sidesflat on the ground.
Removeanddiscardallpackinginserts.
2.
Movethe snowthrowerout of thecarton.
3.
Makecertainthe cartonhas beencompletelyemptiedbefore
discardingit.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Observethe lowerreararea of the snowthrowerto be sure both
cablesare alignedwith rollerguidesbeforepivotingthe handle
upward.
a.
Placethe shiftleverin the F6position.
b.
Pull up and back on upperhandleas shownin Figure1.As
youare raisingthe handleupward,makesurethat bothends
of the centercableare positionedproperlyin the brackets.
Alignupperhandlewiththelowerhandle.
c.
Tightenhandknobssecuringupperhandletolowerhandle.
Removeanddiscardany rubberbands,if present.Theyare
forpackagingpurposesonly.
2.
Removecotterpin,wingnut,andhexscrewfromchutecontrol
headandclevispinandbow-tiecotterpinfromchutesupport
bracket.SeeFigure2.
3.
Insertroundendofchuterodintoinputofchutecontrolhead.
Pushrod as far intothe chute controlheadas possible,keeping
theholesinthechuterodpointingupward.SeeFigure3.
