Configuration Restore from RCP This window is used to initiate a configuration restore from an RCP server. To view the following window, click Tools > Configuration Restore & Backup > Configuration Restore from RCP, as shown below: Figure 11-15 Configuration Restore from RCP Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter RCP Server IP User Name Source File Destination File Description Enter the RCP server IP address here. Enter the user name used for the RCP connection here. This name can be up to 32 characters long. Enter the source filename and path of the configuration file located on the RCP server here. This field can be up to 64 characters long. Enter the destination path and location where the configuration file should be stored on the Switch. This field can be up to 64 characters long. • Select the running-config option to restore and overwrite the running configuration file on the Switch. • Select the startup-config option to restore and overwrite the start-up configuration file on the Switch. Replace Select this option to replace the configuration file on the Switch with this one. Click the Restore button to initiate the configuration restore. Click the
Restore
button to initiate the configuration restore.
Configuration Restore from RCP
This window is used to initiate a configuration restore from an RCP server.
To view the following window, click
Tools > Configuration Restore & Backup > Configuration Restore from RCP
,
as shown below:

The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter
Description
RCP Server IP
Enter the RCP server IP address here.
User Name
Enter the user name used for the RCP connection here. This name can be up
to 32 characters long.
Source File
Enter the source filename and path of the configuration file located on the RCP
server here. This field can be up to 64 characters long.
Destination File
Enter the destination path and location where the configuration file should be
stored on the Switch. This field can be up to 64 characters long.
Select the
running-config
option to restore and overwrite the running
configuration file on the Switch.
Select the
startup-config
option to restore and overwrite the start-up
configuration file on the Switch.
Replace
Select this option to replace the configuration file on the Switch with this one.
Click the
Restore
button to initiate the configuration restore.
