Section 4 - Wireless Connection Manager Status Bar The status bar at the top of the window will display information about the network you are connected to. 3 5 12 4 6 1 Status Displays if you are connected or disconnected to a wireless network. If there is a lock icon, this indicates that the wireless network has encryption enabled 2 Security and is secure. If there isn't a lock icon, this means the wireless network is open and not secure. 3 Network Name Displays the name (SSID) of the wireless network you are connected to. 4 IP Address Displays the IP address of your wireless adapter. 5 Signal Displays the signal strength of your wireless network. Four green bars indicates the best signal strength/quality. 6 Channel Displays the current channel of your wireless network. This setting can only be changed on your wireless router or access point. Status Bar
The status bar at the top of the window will display information about the network you are connected to.

Status
Displays if you are connected or disconnected to a wireless network.

Security
If there is a lock icon, this indicates that the wireless network has encryption enabled
and is secure. If there isn’t a lock icon, this means the wireless network is open and
not secure.

Displays the name (SSID) of the wireless network you are connected to.

IP Address
Displays the IP address of your wireless adapter.

Signal
Displays the signal strength of your wireless network. Four green bars indicates the
best signal strength/quality.
