Cleaning Before cleaning or maintenance, always turn the unit off by placing the selector in the "O' position and unplug from the socket . a. Intake grille anti-bacteria : filter nitrate 9.4 filter Precautions F- Never clean with benzene, alcohol or solvents. Never spray liquid insec- ticide or similar. CLEANING THE AIR FILTERS. To maintain the air conditioning unit at peak efficiency, you are recommended to: 1, Clean the anti-bacteria filter weekly. 2. Replace the FILTRETETM filter at the end of each season or when spent (follow the Instructions on the unit near the filter). To remove dust deposited on the pre-titter, use a vacuum cleaner. If very dirty. rinse repeatedly in warm water at a temperature of not more than 104°F, After washing. dry the filter. To replace, put the filters back into the filter holder, then hook the latter to the unit. Do not wash the FILTRETE" filter as this would reduce its tittering capacity. 11
