Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool before you touch it. CAUTION: To ensure maximum cooling for the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heat sink. The oils in your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease. Prerequisites 1 Remove the battery. 2 Remove the base cover. 3 Remove the wireless card. 4 Remove the memory module. 5 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 2 in removing the optical drive. 6 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in removing the hard drive. 7 Remove the keyboard. 8 Remove the palm rest. 9 Remove the battery-connector board. 10 Remove the optical-drive connector board. 11 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 10 in removing the system board. 70
