Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Remove the display bezel. 4. Remove the display panel. 5. Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the microphone board from the display cover. 6. Disconnect the microphone cable from its connector on the microphone board. 7. Remove the microphone board from the computer. Replacing the Microphone Board To replace the microphone board, perform the above steps in reverse order. Back to Contents Page

Removing the Microphone Board
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
.
3.
Remove the
display bezel
.
4.
Remove the
display panel
.
5.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the microphone board from the display cover.
6.
Disconnect the microphone cable from its connector on the microphone board.
7.
Remove the microphone board from the computer.
Replacing the Microphone Board
To replace the microphone board, perform the above steps in reverse order.
