Removing the Optical Drive
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the battery.
3.
Push in the eject handle on the optical drive to release it.
4.
Slide and remove the hard drive out of the computer.
5.
Remove the screw that secures the drive latch to the optical drive.
6.
Remove the drive latch from the optical drive.
