Example The following example exits the MST Configuration mode without saving changes. Console(config) # spanning-tree mst configuration Console(config-mst) # abort spanning-tree pathcost method The spanning-tree pathcost method Global Configuration mode command sets the default path cost method. Use the no form of this command to revert to the default setting. Syntax • spanning-tree pathcost method {long | short} • no spanning-tree pathcost method • long - Specifies 1 through 200,000,000 range for port path costs. • short - Specifies 0 through 65,535 range for port path costs. Default Configuration Short Command Mode Global Configuration mode. User Guidelines • The cost is set using the spanning-tree cost command. Example The following example sets the default path cost method to "long". Console# spanning-tree pathcost method long spanning-tree bpdu The spanning-tree bpdu Global Configuration mode command defines BPDU handling when spanningtree is disabled on an interface.
