Configuring and Viewing PIM-DM for IPv6 Multicast Routing

Command show ip pim interface vlan vlan-id show ip pim neighbor [interface vlan vlan-id | all] Purpose View the PIM-DM information for the specified interface. View a summary or all the details of the multicast table. Configuring and Viewing PIM-DM for IPv6 Multicast Routing Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to configure PIM-DM for IPv6 multicast routing on the switch and on VLAN routing interfaces and to view PIM-DM information. Command configure ip routing ipv6 unicast-routing ipv6 pim dense ip multicast ip igmp interface vlan vlan-id ipv6 pim ipv6 enable ipv6 mld router ipv6 pim hello-interval seconds exit show ipv6 pim Purpose Enter global configuration mode. Enable IP routing. Routing is required for PIM operation. Enable IPv6 routing. IPv6 routing is required for the operation of PIM. Enable PIM-DM on the switch. Enable IPv6/IPv6 multicast routing. Enable IGMP. IGMP is required for PIM to operate properly. Enter Interface Configuration mode for the specified VLAN. Enable PIM on the interface. Enable IPv6 on the VLAN. Enable MLD on the VLAN. MLD is required for PIM. Specify the number of seconds (range: 0-65535) to wait between sending PIM hello messages on the interface. Exit to Privileged EXEC mode. View system-wide PIM information. 1242 Managing IPv4 and IPv6 Multicast
