1. Determine where you want to install the system in the rack. 2. Position the VersaRail's mounting flange against the inner side of the rack's front vertical rail so that the bottom of the VersaRail is aligned with the 0.125-inch spacing on the rack's front vertical rail (see Figure 1-1 for 2U systems and Figure 1-2 for 4U and 7U systems). NOTE: The vertical rails in your rack may have round or square holes. Each unit on the vertical rail consists of one 0.125-inch spacing and two 0.250-inch spacings. The 0.125-inch spacing is the beginning of a unit. - For 2U systems, the bottom mounting hole in the VersaRail aligns with the second hole from the 0.125-inch spacing on the vertical rail. - For 4U systems, the bottom mounting hole in the VersaRail aligns with the third hole from the 0.125-inch spacing on the vertical rail. - For 7U systems, the bottom mounting hole in the VersaRail aligns with the fourth hole from the 0.125-inch spacing on the vertical rail. 3.
