Port Characteristics (Continued) Feature Auto negotiation Speed Duplex mode Maximum frame size Flow control Storm control Port security Protected port Description Enables a port to advertise its transmission rate, duplex mode and flow control abilities to its partner. Specifies the transmission rate for frames. Specifies whether the interface supports transmission between the switch and the connected client in one direction at a time (half) or both directions simultaneously (both). Indicates the maximum frame size that can be handled by the port. This is a global setting that affects all ports.
