BOOTP/DHCP Relay Agent The switch BootP/DHCP Relay Agent feature relays BootP and DHCP messages between DHCP clients and DHCP servers that are located in different IP subnets. For information about configuring the BootP/DHCP Relay agent, see "Configuring L2 and L3 Relay Features" on page 919. IP Helper and UDP Relay The IP Helper and UDP Relay features provide the ability to relay various protocols to servers on a different subnet. For information about configuring the IP helper and UDP relay features, see "Configuring L2 and L3 Relay Features" on page 919. Routing Information Protocol Routing Information Protocol (RIP), like OSPF, is an IGP used within an autonomous Internet system. RIP is an IGP that is designed to work with moderate-size networks. For information about configuring RIP, see "Configuring RIP" on page 1017. Router Discovery For each interface, you can configure the Router Discovery Protocol (RDP) to transmit router advertisements. These advertisements inform hosts on the local network about the presence of the router. For information about configuring router discovery, see "Configuring IP Routing" on page 895. Routing Table The routing table displays information about the routes that have been dynamically learned. You can configure static and default routes and route preferences.
