Performance Options Option Hyper-Threading (On default) HDD Acoustic Mode (Performance default) Description Determines whether the physical processor appears as one or two logical processors. The performance of some applications improve with additional logical processors installed. On enables hyper-threading. Off disables hyperthreading. Allows you to optimize SATA or PATA drive performance and noise level based on personal preferences. Bypass is used for older drives. Quiet slows drive performance but reduces drive noise.
