Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Remove the base cover. 4. Remove the hard drive assembly. 5. Remove the optical drive. 6. Remove the keyboard. 7. Remove the palm rest. 8. Remove the screw that secures the audio board to the palm rest. 9. Disconnect the speaker cable from its connector on the audio board.

Removing the Audio Board
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
.
3.
Remove the
base cover
.
4.
Remove the
hard drive assembly
.
5.
Remove the
optical drive
.
6.
Remove the
keyboard
.
7.
Remove the
palm rest
.
8.
Remove the screw that secures the audio board to the palm rest.
9.
Disconnect the speaker cable from its connector on the audio board.
