NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer. NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the main battery before you begin working inside the computer. 1. Follow the instructions in "Before Working Inside Your Computer." 2. Turn the computer over, loosen the two captive screws on the modem cover, and remove the cover from the computer. 3. Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw that attaches the modem to the system board. 4. Removing the Modem
1.
Follow the instructions in "
Before Working Inside Your Computer
."
2.
Turn the computer over, loosen the two captive screws on the modem cover, and remove the cover from the computer.
3.
Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw that attaches the modem to the system board.
4.
Pull up on the pull-tab to disconnect the modem from the connector on the system board.
