Prerequisites 1 Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 7 in "Removing the Base Cover" on page 11. 2 Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 21. Prerequisites

Procedure
1
Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive assembly to the palm-rest assembly.

Disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board.

Lift the hard-drive assembly off the palm-rest assembly.
