Basic Operation FUNCTION TUNING PRESET MEMORY TUNING TU MEMORY BLOCK BAND MODE TUNING MEMORY MODE BAND RDS SEARCH CHANNEL NUMBER SHIFT ON SCREEN (AMP mode) TUNER (AMP mode) Manual tuning Preset memory 1 Set the input source to "TUNER". (Main unit) (Remote control unit in the AMP mode) 2 Press the TU (TUNER) button to select the TUNER mode. (Remote control unit) 3 Watching the display, press the BAND button to select the desired band (AM, FM or XM). Check that the display's "AUTO" indicator turns off. 5 Press the TUNING button to tune in the desired station. The memory block can also be selected by pressing the SHIFT button. 5 Press the CHANNEL button or NUMBER (1 to 8) button to select the desired preset channel. 6 Press the MEMORY button again. • Store the station in the preset memory. • To preset other channels, repeat steps 2 to 5. A total of 56 broadcast stations can be preset - 8 stations (channels 1 to 8) in each of blocks A to G. • When the manual tuning mode is set, FM stereo broadcasts are received in monaural and the "STEREO" indicator turns off. 66
