Video Setting Setting items Closed Caption This setting outputs a subtitles signal to a closed caption decoder (sold separately). Angle Mark For making settings for the angle mark displayed in playback. PIP Mark For making settings for the PIP mark displayed in playback. Secondary Audio Mark For making settings for the secondary audio mark displayed in playback. DivX Registration Displays the DivX® registration code. Remote ID (Main unit side) Sets the remote control ID. (vpage 44) Receive Legacy Remocon For making settings for the Legacy remote control reception. Setting details Off : Does not output the closed caption (subtitle) signal. On : Outputs the closed caption (subtitle) signal. If multiple angle marks are recorded on the disc being played, an angle mark is displayed while the scene including an angle is being played. Off : An angle mark is not displayed. On : An angle mark is displayed. If secondary video is recorded on the disc being played, a PIP mark is displayed while the scene including secondary video is being played. Off : A PIP mark is not displayed. On : A PIP mark is displayed. If secondary audio is recorded on the disc being played, a secondary audio mark is displayed while the scene including secondary audio is being played. Off : A secondary audio mark is not displayed. On : A secondary audio mark is displayed. Show Code : Displays the DivX® registration code. Switches the unit's remote control ID code when other DENON BD players are in the vicinity. DENON 1 : Selects DENON 1. Set to "DENON 1" also on the remote control. DENON 2 : Selects DENON 2. Set to "DENON 2" also on the remote control. Set whether or not to accept remote control signals of a DENON DVD player or other device. On : Accepts Off : Does not accept. Netflix Deactivate For deactivating the Netflix audience function. No : For activating the Netflix audience function. Yes : For deactivating the Netflix audience function. For 4:3 video, displays in the center of the screen without changing the aspect ratio.z1 WIDE (16:9) : Outputs to a wide-screen TV. 4:3 PS : Outputs to a 4:3 TV. For wide video, trim the left and right side of the image and display in 4:3 aspect ratio.z2 4:3 LB : Outputs to a 4:3 TV. Displays all of the wide video. Wallpaper Setting for displaying the background when playback is stopped. Progressive Modez3 Sets an appropriate progressive conversion mode for the source video material. Picture : Displays the DENON logo. Black : Sets the background to black. Gray : Sets the background to gray. Blue : Sets the background to blue. Auto : Detects the type of video material and automatically switches the mode. Normally, this setting is used. Video : Suitable for playing video material discs. Film : Suitable for playing film material discs. z1 This has no effect with the video output. z2 Depending on the video content, even though you set it to 4:3 PS (Pan Scan), the content may be output in 4:3 LB (Letter Box). z3 This mode is activated for the video source of 480i/576i.
