Hang Inset (Fig. E) A cord may be used to hang the light by looping it through the hang inset 12 found on the bottom of the light. Screw Threads (Fig. E) Screw threads, 1/4"-20 7 and 5/8"-11 8 , are provided on the bottom of the area light to allow mounting to a tripod. CAUTION: Use only with DeWALT heavy-duty tripod to ensure stability when mounted. 1. Place the tripod's mounting screw into the appropriate screw thread on the base of the light and screw the tripod to the light. 2. Ensure the light is securely attached. Fig. E 12 7 8 Carrying the Area Light (Fig. A) Carry the area light using one or two of the four side handles 2 . Never use the side handles to attach the light to anything. Refer to Suspending/Mounting the Area Light. OPERATION WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or removing/ installing attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury. Installing and Removing the Battery Pack (Fig. G) NOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is fully charged. 1. To install the battery pack 9 into the area light, open the battery compartment door 11 , align the battery pack with the rails inside the battery compartment and slide it in until the battery pack is firmly seated and latched. Ensure that it does not disengage, then close the door. 2. To remove the battery pack from the area light, press the battery release button 10 on the battery pack and firmly pull the battery pack out. Download the DeWALT Tool Connect™ application at: • Follow the instructions in the app to create your Tool Connect™ account. • Connect your area light with the DeWALT Tool Connect™ app first by pressing the Tool Connect™ button 3 on the front of the light until it begins to blink. Then go to the Home screen of the app and select "+ Tool." The area light can only be connected to one Tool Connect™ account at a time. • Once the connection is established, you will be prompted to give the product an individual name as well as confirm that you would like to register the product on your DeWALT.com account. CAUTION: When using the scheduler, ensure the illuminated area is free of personnel before a scheduled turn off.
