CODE POSSIBLE CAUSE 20 Cylinder or piston damaged or worn 21 Compressor cylinder finish worn 22 Water in pump oil 23 Low voltage/motor overload 24 Restricted air passages 25 Low voltage motor 26 Bad check valve 27 Seized pump 28 Oil level too high 29 Poor ventilation 30 Dirty cooling surfaces 31 Too much back pressure in tank. 32 Compressor too cold POSSIBLE SOLUTION Contact a DeWALT factory service center or a DeWALT authorized service center. Contact a DeWALT factory service center or a DeWALT authorized service center. Drain oil and refill pump with full synthetic non-detergent air compressor oil. Check that power supply is adequate and that compressor is on a dedicated circuit. If using extension cord, try using without. If compressor is connected to a circut protected by a fuse, use dual element time delay fuses (Buss Fusetron type "T" only). Inspect and replace transfer tubes or check valve, as required. Furnish adequate powder. Replace check valve. Contact a DeWALT factory service center or a DeWALT authorized service center. Reduce to proper level. See Compressor Pump Oil under Maintenance. Relocate compressor to an area with cool, dry, well circulated air, at least 12 in. from nearest wall. Clean all cooling surfaces thoroughly. Open drain valve when starting motor. Move compressor to a warmer location. 27 English
