Adding a Printer in Windows Vista Adding a Printer in Windows Vista This section describes how to add a LabelWriter printer in Windows Vista. When adding a LabelWriter Duo printer, you will need to create separate ports for the Label printer and the Tape printer. Each port must have a unique name. To add a LabelWriter printer 1 Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2 Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer. 3 Click Add a Printer. The Add Printer dialog box appears. 4 Click Add a local printer. 5 On the Choose a printer port page, do the following: a. Select Create a new port. b. Choose Standard TCP/ IP Port from the Type of port list. c. Click Next. 6 On the Type a printer hostname or IP address page, do the following: a. Enter the IP address that you obtained when configuring the print server in the Hostname or IP Address field. The port name is filled in automatically. b. (Optional) Enter a new name for the port in the Port name field. When adding a LabelWriter Duo printer, you must give the Label printer port and the Tape printer port different names. c. Click Next. 13
