Each connection must be solid. Disconnect the power cables on all elements of the system until you have finished all of the connections. External DVD player Player Center speaker Left speaker TV Subwoofer Right speaker Surround left Surround right Connecting to a TV To connect to a TV: 1 Unplug the TV and your player. 2 Connect your TV using one of the following methods: • Best - If your TV has an HDMI connection, use an HDMI cable to connect the player to the TV. • Better - If your TV has component connections (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr), use a three-cable component cable to connect the player to the TV-set. You will also need to connect the Audio (L & R) if you use this connection.

Connecting your player
Before connecting your player, refer to the picture below. Each connection must be solid.
Disconnect the power cables on all elements of the system until you have finished all of the
connections.
Connecting to a TV
To connect to a TV:

Unplug the TV and your player.

Connect your TV using one of the following methods:
Best - If your TV has an HDMI connection, use an HDMI cable to connect the player
to the TV.
Better - If your TV has component connections (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr), use a three-cable
component cable to connect the player to the TV-set. You will also need to connect
the Audio (L & R) if you use this connection.
