If the other lights are off and you cannot use the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series, it may be in sleep mode. Press any button (except the button) to wake it up. Paper is out. Load more paper in the sheet feeder. Paper is jammed. Carefully remove the jam. One or more cartridges have low ink. Check the cartridge status to determine which cartridges are affected. An ink cartridge is expended, incorrectly installed, or not compatible with the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series. If an ink cartridge is likely to be expended, you must replace the cartridge to be able to print. If you just replaced a cartridge and the light is still on, the cartridge is not compatible or is not installed correctly. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to move the cartridges to the replacement position. Replace any incompatible cartridges or press down on any incorrectly installed cartridges. Parts inside the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series are at the end of their service life. Contact Epson for help. There is a problem with the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series. Turn it off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on again. If the error is not resolved, contact Epson for help. Run a Printer Check A printer check will help you determine if the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series is operating properly. 1. Turn off the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series and your computer, if connected. 2. Disconnect any connected USB cables. 3. Load plain paper in the sheet feeder. 4. Hold down the button as you press the button to turn the Epson Stylus CX5600 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the light begins to flash, then release the buttons. 74
