The following describes some common problems and what you should do when you encounter them. The operation indicator does not light up. Check the power supply, making sure that the power cable is securely connected to the projector and the power outlet. Check to ensure that the projector lamp cover is securely closed. The projector lamp does not light up. The lamp is burned out and needs to be replaced. The operation indicator is red. The projector is overheated. The projector lamp will also turn off automatically at this time. Wait until the projector cools off before you try turning it back on. Check the air vents on the bottom and back of the projector to make sure they are not blocked. If they are, use the procedure described on page 75 to clean the filters. If the projector continues to overheat after you clean the filters, you may have to request servicing for the cooling fan or internal circuitry. Contact your nearest service provider. The operation indicator is flashing red. There is a problem with the projector's internal circuitry that requires servicing. Contact your nearest service provider. The projection lamp indicator is red. The projection lamp has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. Problems with the Projector 81
