Switching Between Continuous and Single Sheets Even with continuous paper loaded in the printer, you can easily switch to single-sheet printing without removing the continuous paper from the tractor. This feature can be used whenever the tractor unit is installed on the front or the rear or when using both the front and rear (with the optional tractor). Switching to single sheets To switch from continuous paper to single sheets, follow the steps below. 1. If you have a printed document still in the printer, press the TEAR OFF button to feed the paper forward to the tear-off position. Tear off the document and press the TEAR OFF button again to feed the continuous paper backward to the loading position. CAUTION: Make sure you tear off your printed document before pressing the LOAD/EJECT button. Reverse-feeding several pages at a time may cause a paper jam. 2. Now press the LOAD/EJECT button to feed the continuous paper out of the printer and into the standby position. The paper is still attached to the tractor but no longer in the paper path. 0tl CAUTION: Never feed labels backward through the printer. Switching Between Continuous and Single Sheets
Even with continuous paper loaded in the printer, you can easily
switch to single-sheet printing without removing the continuous
paper from the tractor. This feature can be used whenever the
tractor unit is installed on the front or the rear or when using both
the front and rear (with the optional tractor).
Switching to single sheets
To switch from continuous paper to single sheets, follow the steps
below.
1.
If you have a printed document still in the printer, press the
TEAR OFF
button to feed the paper forward to the tear-off position.
Tear off the document and press the
TEAR OFF
button again to feed
the continuous paper backward to the loading position.
CAUTION:
Make sure you tear off your printed
document before pressing the
LOAD/EJECT
button.
Reverse-feeding several pages at a time may cause a
paper jam.

Now press the
LOAD/EJECT
button to feed the continuous paper
out of the printer and into the standby position. The paper is
still attached to the tractor but no longer in the paper path.
