INSTALLING THE BATTERIES The Geko 301 operates on two AAA batteries (not included), installed in the back of the unit. To install the batteries, remove the battery cover by inserting a coin (quarter) in the bottom slot. Twist the coin to lift the cover up and pull away. Insert the batteries, observing proper polarity. Attach the battery cover by inserting the tab end into the back slot at an angle, laying it flat, and then pushing it forward until the clip catches. Alkaline batteries should last as long as 9 hours. Rechargeable Alkaline, NiMH, NiCad or Lithium batteries may be used, but cannot be charged while in the unit.
