Garmin Travel Guide Much like a paper travel guide, the Garmin Travel Guide provides detailed information about places, such as restaurants and hotels. To purchase an accessory, go to http://buy .garmin.com, or contact your Garmin dealer. To use the Travel Guide, insert the memory card into your zūmo. Touch Where To? > Extras. Touch the name of your Travel Guide to view it. Battery Information Your zūmo contains a user‑replaceable, lithium‑ion battery. To maximize the lifetime of the battery, do not leave your zūmo in direct sunlight, and avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat. The battery icon in the corner of the Menu page indicates the status of the zūmo battery. To increase the accuracy of the battery gauge, fully discharge the battery and fully charge it. Do not unplug the zūmo until it is totally charged. Replacing the Battery in the zūmo If you need to replace the battery in the zūmo, use a Garmin lithium‑ion battery 010‑11143‑00. Purchase a replacement battery at http://buy.garmin.com. Contact your local waste disposal department for information about properly disposing of the battery. Charging Your zūmo • Use the automotive power cable. • Use the motorcycle mount • Use the optional USB cable. NOTE: the battery does not charge in the motorcycle mount while the zūmo is turned off. Maximizing the Battery Life • Turn down the backlight (Tools > Settings > Display > Brightness). • Disable Bluetooth, see page 21. Appendix • Do not leave your zūmo in direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat. Changing the Fuse  CAUTION When replacing the fuse, do not lose any of the small pieces, and ensure they are put back in the proper place. If your unit does not charge in your vehicle, you may need to replace the fuse located at the tip of the automotive adapter. 1. Unscrew the black, round end piece, and remove it. 2. Remove the fuse (glass and silver cylinder), and replace with a 3A fast-blow fuse. 3. Ensure that the silver tip is placed in the black end piece. Screw on the black end piece. Battery Information

CAUTION
When replacing the fuse, do not lose any
of the small pieces, and ensure they are put
back in the proper place.
If your unit does not charge in your vehicle,
you may need to replace the fuse located at
the tip of the automotive adapter.
1. Unscrew the black, round end piece, and
remove it.
2. Remove the fuse (glass and silver
cylinder), and replace with a 3A fast‑blow
fuse.
3. Ensure that the silver tip
is placed in the black end
piece. Screw on the black
end piece.
