Installing Your Gateway Server into a Rackmount Cabinet Installing your server into a rackmount cabinet Before adding the rails to your server, make sure that the server is on a stable work surface, such as a strong table or counter. Warning To avoid injury or dropping the server, we recommend that two people lift the server. Although your server configuration may vary from the server configuration shown in the following instructions, the general installation process will be similar. To install your server into a rackmount cabinet, you need to complete the following tasks in sequence: 1 Install the inner rails on each side of the server. 2 Attach the rail assemblies to the rackmount cabinet brackets. 3 Install the rackmount cabinet brackets and the rail assemblies. 4 Mount the server into the rackmount cabinet. 14 www.gateway.com
