If less than half-filled, check for doneness 30 minutes to one hour earlier than called for in the recipe. • Removing the cover when cooking results in major heat loss and the cooking time may need to be extended. • If your schedule doesn't allow time to prepare a recipe, do it the night before. Place all ingredients in the stoneware dish, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight. When you're ready to cook, simply place the stoneware dish on the electric cooking base. • Pasta, seafood, milk, cream, or sour cream should only be added 2 hours before serving.
