Hard Drive Cable Description Hard drive cable Spare part number 646789-001 The hard drive cable is secured to the computer with two screws and connects the hard drive to the system board. Figure 6-36 Hard drive cable location To remove the hard drive cable: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparing to Disassemble the Computer on page 29). 2. Remove the rear cover (see Rear Cover on page 30). 3. Remove the two Torx T15M3.0x6.0 screws (1) that secure the connector to the computer. 4.
