Handy Hints COLORSMART II TECHNOLOGY Your printer is especially smart about printing color. (That's why HP calls the technology ColorSmart II!) When you print a document in color, the printer marks each element in your document- text, full-color photographs, and graphics (such as pie charts with solid blocks of color)-and renders each at its vivid best-even those printed from the Internet. You get high-quality color at less expense than making color copies at a copy shop. Adjusting the Color Like a full-featured camera, your printer can "autofocus," using HP's ColorSmart technology to automatically make adjustments that will give you the best quality color printing. But if you prefer, you can manipulate the settings yourself to produce the effect you want: 1 In the HP print settings dialog box, click the Color tab and then click Manual. Then click Options. Click to display your color options. 2 Change the Intensity or Halftoning settings. To find out more about these settings, click Help. 20
