To control local logging (LocalLogEnabled parameter) and remote logging (RemoteLogEnabled and RemoteLogHostAddress parameters), enter the set setup system command in an Admin session, as shown in the following example: 8/20q FC Switch (admin) #> set setup system A list of attributes with formatting and current values will follow. Enter a new value or simply press the ENTER key to accept the current value. If you wish to terminate this process before reaching the end of the list press 'q' or 'Q' and the ENTER key to do so. Use FTP to download the file from the switch to your workstation as follows: 1. Log into the switch through Telnet and create an archive of the event log. To create a file on the switch named logfile, enter the set log archive command. 8/20q FC Switch #> admin start 8/20q FC Switch (admin) #> set log archive 2. Open an FTP session on the switch and log in with the account name images and password images.
