set config security Description Configures the security database for the automatic saving of changes to the active security set and fabric binding. The changes you make with this command are not retained when you reset or power-cycle the switch unless you save them using the config save command. Authority Admin session and a Config Edit session Syntax set config security This command initiates an editing session in which to change the security database configuration. The system displays each parameter one line at a time and prompts you for a value. For each parameter, enter a new value or press Enter to accept the current value shown in brackets. Enter q or Q to end the editing session. Table 34 describes the security configuration parameters. Table 34 Security configuration parameters Parameter AutoSave FabricBindingEnabled Description Enables (True) or disables (False) the saving of changes to active security set in the switch's permanent memory. The default is True. Enables (True) or disables (False) the configuration and enforcement of fabric binding on all switches in the fabric. Fabric binding associates switch worldwide names with a domain ID in the creation of ISL groups. The default is False. Examples The following is an example of the set config security command: 8/20q FC Switch #> admin start 8/20q FC Switch (admin) #> config edit 8/20q FC Switch (admin-config) #> set config security A list of attributes with formatting and current values will follow. Enter a new value or simply press the ENTER key to accept the current value. If you wish to terminate this process before reaching the end of the list press 'q' or 'Q' and the ENTER key to do so.
