nsShow 2 nsShow Displays local Name Server (NS) information. Synopsis nsshow [-r -t] Description Use this command to display local NS information about devices connected to this switch. If no information is available for the switch, the command displays the message: "There is no entry in the Local Name Server." Use nsAllShow to display NS information for all switches in the fabric. Each line of output displays the following information: Type U for unknown, N for N_Port, NL for NL_Port. PID 24-bit Fibre Channel address. COS List of classes of service supported by device. PortName Device port World Wide Name (WWN). NodeName Device node WWN. TTL Time-to-live, in seconds, for cached entries or NA (not applicable) if the entry is local. This displays if the -r option is specified. SCR State change registration of the device. This displays if the -r option is specified. Device type Device type if -t is specified. Permanent Port Name Physical N_Port or NL_Port WWN. There might be additional lines if the device has registered any of the following information (the switch automatically registers SCSI inquiry data for FCP target devices): • FC4s supported • IP address • IPA • Port and node symbolic names • Fabric Port Name. This is the WWN of the port on the switch to which the device is physically connected. • Hard address or port IP address Note The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. Operands This command has the following operands: -r Replaces the time-to-live (TTL) attribute output with state change registration (SCR) information in the display.
