This cable supports up to two IDE hard disk drives, one of which is already connected to the Master connector on this cable. • A secondary IDE drive cable with two connectors. If you already have a CD-ROM drive installed, it is connected to the Master connector on this cable. If you install a CD-ROM drive, or a third hard disk drive, or both, connect it or them to this cable. • A floppy disk drive cable. This supports up to two floppy disk drives (or one floppy disk drive and one tape drive). One 3.5-inch floppy disk (Drive A) is already connected to the Master connector on this cable. If you add a floppy disk drive, hard disk drive, CD-ROM drive, Zip drive, or tape drive, you need to connect it to power and data cables. The connectors are shaped to fit one way only. The data cables are shown below.
